TorontoBarks Online Contests

The TorontoBarks.com site has contained numerous online promotions. The most prominent contest that has been run on the site was the annual "Best Of Toronto" dog product or service provider. The promotion encourages users to submit votes for their favourite dog product or service professional. For every vote submitted online the user will earn a ballot in a random draw for a series of prizes. All prizes were donated from various dog companies. The promotional contest runs online for a 2 month period in which hundreds of votes are collected.

The online contest submission system was custom created for the Toronto Barks site. In order to submit a vote, a user had to create a free site account to enable the system to record user details and the number of votes cast per person. As a result, the contest attracted hundreds of new users registrations and encouraged repeat visits by users. In addition, contest participants how recommended the contest to new people earned additional ballets...improving their changes of winning.

The contest was promoted at tradeshows, in print publicaions, on the TorontoBarks Facebook Fan Page and via twitter.
