The Insidermedicine.com site is one of the most elaborate sites we have built to date. The site is basically a medical YouTube with a focus on medical news and topics. The site is run by a hospital in kingston, Ontario. Each day the company produces, edits and posts 1 - 4 video segments online - all organized in various "channels", categories and groupings. This site features over 60 GB of video content viewed by thousands of people monthly.
Insight was responsible for building a system that would operate in a similar fashion to a blog with the exception of posting video entries along with text entries. The complexity of the site lies in the need to organize and maintain thousands of video files, each organized and tagged by topic, category, author and channel. In addition to this the site has content specifically filtered for different audiences including doctors, patients and students.
All site content had to be developed with numerous content feeds which could be picked up by online content engines such as Google News as well as other online media distributors.
